Rogerthat European tour has ended
After a real good summer in Austalia supporting Bedouin Soundclash, The
Beautiful Girls and State Radio (US) and headlining their own tour, Rogerthat
have toured Europe supporting the release of their album (The Vanilla
Gorillas out thru Crownn).

The bands reputation for blitzing it live has spread fast and their first
two gigs absolutely cranked. At a French Festival gig - at the Boulibatsch
Festival (www.boulibatsch.com)
they sold 25 cd’s and the Amsterdam gig, atWinston
Kingdom, a small old school venue in the cities red light district,
the band paked the place and had the crowd going crazy again. They just
did a run thru southern UK with Them Is Me, a new band
formed by the singer and bass player from REEF, guitarist
from Lady Sovereign and the drummer from Bassment Jaxx.
They played in
different parts of France including a gig at the Quiksilver World
Surf Championships in Hossegor.

Rogerthat have
also picked up a couple of good German reviews. This
one from www.houseofrock.de
is worth quoting a bit. In part it reads (thanks to Babelfish which always
produces some pretty crazy beat styled poetry):
“The show starts and there is an easily psychedelisch Reggae
and shifts at least the thick toe in oscillation. Charming with a somewhat
wackligen (whacky), guitar it has a nice incessant itch and Jefferson
Lane is a summer hit.
In the second
song (Hanging On), the band turns - and the turn is toward Hendrix.
You know, where
Hendrix lies?
Local exit
Seattle left starting from direction London, back to San Francisco and
over Monterey and Woodstock towards the east toward Fehmarn.
Jimi H did
not have a navigation system and ROGERTHAT court the same sort of beautiful
insanity for four minutes thereafter they are again good Gold Coast Boys
with a large longing for their home. They later head back in the same
direction as Hanging On, with the final track, Into The Unknown.”
